The last couple months I have been living in my kitchen creating new recipes and truly enjoying making new healthy meals for me and my family. Getting my new Samsung Family Hub fridge kicked off this new inspiration for me! It’s been so much fun having so many amazing features on this fridge and I’ve actually been able to get my kids involved more than ever in the kitchen.
Whether they are helping me prepare their healthy snacks, drawing dinosaurs on the Samsung Family Hub “Whiteboard” while I cook, or playing some music through the fridge and having a dance party. My new Samsung Family Hub fridge has really made our kitchen the center for our family.
My Samsung Family Hub has made this busy Mama’s life so much easier and kept me way more organized! I love the pull out freezer drawer, I can actually find stuff in there and now I have room to sort my freezer items. The wide drawer inside of my fridge holds so many items and it’s a perfect snack drawer for my kids. There are so many cool features to this fridge, with the obvious built in technology that keeps us all connected, and equipped with so many helpful apps like Recipe finders and daily reminders. Speaking of recipes, I wanted to share 5 QUICK, EASY + HEALTHY snacks your kids will actually eat, and let’s be honest…
YOU will probably eat them too. 🙂
Fruit Salad
I’ve found that pre-making a bowl of fresh fruit for my kids to snack on is way more appealing to them (and me) rather than telling them to just eat an apple. Cutting the fruit and storing it in the fridge actually allows the fruit juices to combine and it makes a super sweet and satisfying snack. My favorite fruit salad combo is strawberries, watermelon, grapes, kiwis, and blueberries.
Ants on a Log
Celery, Nut butter ( I use Peanut Butter), and raisins. SO SIMPLE.
Aka: The snack I grew up on!
Strawberry Protein Popsicles
Strawberry Protein Popsicles
This is literally the easiest snack with only TWO ingredients!
2 cups Vanilla Greek Yogurt + 1 cup of fresh strawberries
Blend the strawberries in a blender or food processor until smooth, combine with the yogurt, add the mixture into popsicle molds until completely frozen. ENJOY!O
On the Go Protein Box
PPopular coffee shops have made these grab and snack boxes so convenient and somewhat healthy, but they can cost you a pretty penny! The contents can be adjusted to your preference, but I love having something like this to give my kids in between meals. I suggest including a well rounded amount of macronutrients to keep them full. It’s up to you on what to include, but just having something prepared for an easy grab and go is the best part about this snack.
